WALK WORTHY

Trail Life USA

Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.

The moto “Walk Worthy” encompasses the integral aspect of the Trail Life discipleship process. To walk a worthy life means to be devoted, to be a disciple of Christ, to be disciplined, and to demonstrate that to your community. This happens through fundamental truths and foundational knowledge of faith and intregrity coupled with intentional integration with our world view and the service of others. Troops participate in hands-on activities and practical applications of these principles.

  • Devotional – Engaging with spiritual truth in a regular transformative manner.
  • Discipleship – Living your faith through service and learning about how others have done so.
  • Discipline – Practicing intentional activities that result in spiritual growth like regular prayer, fasting, journaling, memorizing Scripture, attending church services, giving, and serving.
  • Demonstration – Evaluating and sharing Worthy Life experiences with parents, Troop, and/or church.

Troop Leader Clark Davis

Clark Davis is a Christ follower, father, and community leader that boys and men can come alongside to learn to walk a worthy life. Clark and his son take advantage of Trail Life to connect and grow as father and son through the pursuit of God. As a GV Men leader, Clark led the founding of the Trail Life Troop at GV Christian. His commitment to the troop is to offer the best possible environment for fathers and sons to connect, with God, with one another, and with their community.

All Trail Life leaders must go through an application, background check, and interview process before being approved to lead the Troop. To get more information on how you can become a leader with the GV Christian Trail Life Troop click below.
