GV Christian Center is devoted to prayer because it is the one of the keys to building a relationship with God. Some of the other keys are reading the Bible daily, memorizing the Word of God, gathering in Growth Groups (small groups) and going to the Weekend Services.

God tells us to pray. Jesus said to 'ask, seek and knock'. It is God's will. We believe God does great things when we pray. Join us "live" on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. in room # 229 on the 2nd floor. See a Greeter for directions.

Join us for prayer on-line right here. You can place your prayer requests, pray for other’s needs, give your praises or read how God has answered other’s prayer. Just use the Prayer Request link below. Don’t forget to give us your updates on your requests and post your praises so that we can rejoice with you as God answers.

Please note that we may need to alter prayer requests to comply with HIPPA laws and to respect the privacy of people listed.

for a change in attitude for my son who is 16. He is angry becuase his dad left when he was young and he is not in our life at all. my son is hurt in his heart and chooses to be mad, yells alot, curses at his mom,does poorly in school.

My dear friend has a torn ligament and sprained ankle with possible fracture. Plus other medical issues that are hampering her from getting around and defeating her. She starts school on the 30th in pain.

Gv Family and friends please pray for Andrew, we have an emergency meeting today with everyone involved in his care with the psychiatrist to discuss adding meds to his treatment plan.(Boys Town) They are initially thinking he was misdiagnosed as a kid and looking at a personality or mood disorder. I know God is bigger then all of this and that what ever treatment plan is decided on that it is to help him and do his body good and not to harm him in any way. Praying for wisdom and discernment for all who are involved in the diagnosing and decisions that will be made today. Gods plan for andrew..Jeremiah 29:11! Lee Family

Please pray for our sister-in-law, Jane, who had a heart attack this morning. They have put a stent in one vein. They live in Indiana but are on vacation in New Orleans. Please pray for healing and strength and a safe return home.

My sister has a group of friends, they are all best friends and close. Thier friend (Jen) was rear-ended by a semi-gas tanker on I-10 in Arizona today putting her in critical condition along with an unknown woman from another vehicle. (trucker is ok) Jen is in a medical induced coma. Her 13 month old daughter and 3 week newborn did not survive. At this point she is not aware her babies did not make it and not sure if she will either. Please pray for Jen, the loss of her babies and for those who know and love her. They will all need God's comfort and healing.

My husband left me and my boys 4-5 months ago and is contemplating divorce. I'm asking you to pray for my husband Joe to have God soften his heart. He has a lot of past pain that has never been healed and it has been poured out into are marriage. He is hurting terribly and has strayed away from God. Pray that he will return his heart back to God and will look for guidance and that God will restore our marriage. Also pray for me Tracy (wife) that God will provide me with the strength I need to continue to show my boys that God is good and although the circumstances don't look good, God has a plan.
